Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative

Hi everyone! Here are a couple more photos taken at the Team Sarcoma Awareness Walk we participated in a couple of weeks ago. These photos were submitted to the international website hosted by the Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative. I promise next year I'll give much more notice and we'll have an even greater presence!

Love, Lori

Happy August 6th to Nick, Carly and Kelsey - an important date as it is your father's birthday. Your dad read his horoscope this morning before heading home - it said "The more optimistic you are about your affairs, the more you'll be able to do for yourself - regardless of the circumstances involved. Apply this forward-looking attitude to everything that is important to you". Well, I know what is most important to your dad - it is the three of you. During his birthday weekend in Mammoth, your dad talked about the joyful events that lie ahead for all of you - the first being in October when Nick finishes his chemo treatments. I read my daily devotional for today - it said "Fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out". Romans 12:2 Well Nick, that advice from the Bible was right on the money for me - Today I ask God to change you from the inside out - since your tumor is no longer visible on the outside - I pray the MRI will show that it is no longer visible on the inside either. May your faith and hope (forward looking attitude) grow stronger everyday. Love, aunt Chris

I just read all the latest news and I'm amazed at how uplifted I feel after finishing.

Y'all are having a ministry to me and to others as well, I'm sure.

Keep up the good work. I keep you in my prayers.

Dear Nick:
I know your stepfather, Lee Brower. He is my coach at Strategic Coach. I would like to mention something to you that I think would be worthwhile for you to read. The book is called "Ask and It Is Given" by Esther Hicks. I want to stress to you a couple of the elements of the book. First of all, it is unimportant what anyone else has gone through. It is only important what you are going through. Statistics are meaningless and you should avoid them at all costs. All doctors want to give you statistics and give you an idea of how bad things are. It does not matter. The only thing that matters is your situation. I believe that the book will be of great help to you. Everyone that I know who has gone through any serious illness has raved about the book. I wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Peter Wachowski

Dear Nick
As you start day one of another chemo round (I've lost count but God hasn't), I plan to read Genesis. It is a good way for me to trace God's hand as I trust God's heart to heal you.
"Then God said, 'Let there be light'; and there was light". Genesis 1:3
May God shine a light of healing and love at the end of this week. God bless you, your mom, your nurses, your doctors and all your family and friends praying for you in this hour.
Love you Nick, aunt Chris
