Wizards of Huntsman!

It wasn't easy for Nick to anticipate 4 more rounds of chemo when he was mentally prepared for only 2. Either way, he finished off 1 on Sunday. To help him get through the week, he was visited by a couple of wizards:

They cast a magical spell for healing and laughing. They probably should've included a spell to put on the Detroit Red Wings as the Penguins are down 0-2. Nick also had a few friends over (Mark, Ty & Cory):

Lots of dice playing and movie watching (thank you fairy godmothers for the westerns!)

Please keep up the encouraging words, prayers and fun visits to Nick as he continues through this current journey. He's feeling a bit weary and overwhelmed thinking about how much more chemo he has left to go through.

With love, Lori

Dear Nick - It's so easy for us to give you words of encouragement - we're not the ones having to go through the chemo. But, having said that No. 1 is over with. Soon you'll be feeling better and hopefully this last trip to Huntsman will be but a faint memory. Before you know it you'll have the rest under your belt and you'll be moving forward. I'm sure it's very difficult keeping a positive attitude when you're feeling crappy and bored. If there's anything any of us can do for you while you're fighting your battle all you have to do is say and I know that everyone will eagerly respond. We all love you very much and I wish I really did have a magic wand to take away the cancer and your frustration. Alas I don't but I do send you love, light and healing every day. Hang in there and feel better soon.

Dear Nick,
A happy heart is like good medicine, but a broken spirit drains your strength. Proverbs 17:22
God gave you a happy heart. Your fairy godmothers and friends are doing a great job at making sure your spirit isn't broken.
Uncle Stan and I just went to see the Star Trek movie, so I leave you with "Live long and prosper". May God cover you with His grace during the next three rounds of chemo. Love, aunt Chris

P.S. Congratulations Carly on your high school graduation. May God bless you with long life and prosperity. Love from all your California relatives - even the one stationed in Kuwait.

Hey Skinny,
You think YOU"VE got it tough!!
How about those poor Penguins!!
They got their butts smacked in Detroit in Game 5,
and snuck out a win in Game 6 by hanging on (barely) in the third period last night.
Now they have to go into Detroit for Game 7 on Friday!!
I know you are having a great time in Colorado at Carly's tournament, and you'll be cheering for her, but save some energy and prayers for Sid the Kid and the boys.... they're gonna need it!

Keep on Truckin'
Jay

Dear Nick and family,
I have never met any of you, but after my phone conversation with Nick several months ago and keeping up with Lori's blog entries, I am so blown away by all of your courage and love for one another. It brings tears to my eyes every time I read an entry because it is so palpable in your writing and pictures. Thanks for sharing your journey.
With admiration,
Zpora
