Lend some love!

Nick here...

My 7th round is over and I felt sick mostly yesterday (not sick enough to keep me from riding my dirt bike at my dads house) and have been eating pretty good. I also rode a peddle bike for three and half miles with my dad, (it included to hills!)which in the end I had to sacrifice to lots of water intake and nap. HA. Baby steps should be taken I guess.
The main reason I wanted to post something tonight is because of a man name Harrison Matthews. I just met him recently in the hospital, while I was getting my chemo and so was he. He was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and has already spent a MONTH in the hospital and had 2 chemo treatments. He would come over to my room once in a while and we would play video games or just talk about life fighting cancer. I enjoyed being able to talk to him and let him know what to expect and what he can do to prevent or reduce chemo side-effects. Anyways, I recomended that he too start a blog, so that people can see how he is doing and give support without having to call him or his parents all the time. His blog address is:http://harrisonmatthews.blogspot.com/
Take a look at his blog and please post comments on his like you have mine for support, or if you are a cancer fighter/survivor with some advice. It really helps.
Thanks everyone!

Hello Nick - Firstly sorry I wasn't here when you were getting your chemo. Denise was absolutely amazing bringing me along with her! I was a lot less noisy than usual wasn't I!!!!!! I will tap on to Harrison's blog site and send him a message. That is so nice of you to encourage us all to lend our support. Always knew you were special! 3 more rounds and lets knock the socks off the cancer. I'm back out of town on Saturday for a week but hopefully when I get back I'll get a chance to say hello in person. In the meantime keep enjoying your family, friends, bike and keep feeling good and happy. Love You - Jennie

Dear Nick,
"Oh the places you will go the the people you will meet". Life is a wonderful experience - each path unique, some parts joyous and other sections tragic - but always hopeful because of the promise we have in Jesus.

"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him".
John 14:6-7

My prayer this evening is that you and Harrison will see God's healing hand in each other.
Love, aunt Chris

Hi Nick,
You don't know me but I saw you at the Relay for Life in Lancaster. It would have been pretty hard not to see you in that costume, but I did get a sense that you are in good spirits!!! LOL!!! I was diagnosed with AML in Dec 06 and have been in and out of the hospitals a lot this year. I met your Aunt Chris today because one of my friends asked your aunt to make a quilt for me (which really turned out awesome!!!). She told me about you and Harrison and I just wanted to let you know that I'm praying for you. I really enjoyed getting emails and comments especially when I was in the hospital, so I think you really did a good thing by giving us Harrison's blog too. Stay strong and positive and God bless you!

Hey Nick,
It was good to hear from you. Thanks again for showing me your blog and how to create one. I have got some great emails from you Mom and some of your other friends. You've got amazing support from family and friends and I know how that can really help during this rodeo of cancer. I did get some good new today from the docs. They say I could go home tomorrow. That would be a dream come true huh? I just have a little cabin fever after being here for almost two months. Well I better get going. I'm glad you are doing well and will probably see you during your next round of chemo. Keep on keeping man! Sincerely, Harrison
